Brewster’s Mountain Pack Trains is a two or four day horseback riding adventure, set in the rugged backcountry of the Canadian Rockies. Experience some of the most magnificent sights during your ride along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. Brewster’s provides guests with the chance to escape their everyday lives and experience what the Alberta frontier has to offer. You will come across wildlife in their natural surroundings; an undisturbed landscape and best of all—your horses, meals, guides and shelter will all be provided for you. You will climb high elevations, ride over Yamnuska Mountain, cross streams and travel through wooded areas. This is a backcountry adventure like no other.
The Brewster family is known throughout Banff as “Real life Mountain Pioneers and Cowboys in the Canadian Rockies”. This famous family is the 6th generation involved in sharing the astounding views and nature of the Canadian Rockies with visitors to the area.
Brewster’s offers guests the use of two camps each with five rustic log backcountry cabins. The camps are strategically located along Old Horse Drive Trail, used by the Brewster family since the early 1900s. All backcountry cabins are equipped with sleeping bags, sheets, pillows and towels and each cabin is outfitted with two single beds. The camp also includes two outhouses and a kitchen cabin. A wash area will be provided for you to clean up in. You will get to know your cook well as they travel with you to every camp; they are trained both as cooks and guides. Hearty, home cooked backcountry meals will be provided everyday during the trip.
